Equalist!Jinora.

It all started a year before Korra arrived, when Jinora ran off from her family's secluded island to play with other kids, feeling lonely with only her sister for company. She ran off in street clothes, and was mistaken for a non-bender. Seeing the Triple Threat Triad and Red Monsoons bully and devastate non-benders all across the city, seeing non-benders scavenging for food because they were unable to find jobs, she came across an Equalist pamphlet from a 'fellow' non-bender named Kouhei. Kouhei's family had throw him out after he turned out to be a non-bender.

These events reshaped her views of the world, and she began to view the luxury she lived in differently, as a horrifying privilege she did not deserve. And thus Jinora became an Equalist in secret, continually growing more devoted to the cause as things accelerated in Republic City.
